To provide the purest of wipes, we only use the purest of water. It begins by sourcing water from New Zealand’s natural rivers, lakes and underground springs. Then, we undertake a five-phase water filtration system to eliminate any impurities and produce the pure water that makes our wipes so special.

Sand Quartz Filter

Purification beings by filtering the water through a Sand Quartz filter. This is to remove any floating particles or solid matter, and reduces water turbidity (cloudiness). Through this process, all foreign objects are removed.

Activated Charcoal Filter

The next step in the water purification process is to run the water through an Activated Charcoal Filter. Activated Charcoal is very porous and has a negative electrical charge which draws in toxins and chemicals. This part of the filtration process is to remove any chemicals or organisms present in the water. Once these chemicals have been removed, the water is now ready to go through reverse osmosis.

Reverse Osmosis Filters

Reverse Osmosis is the process of pushing water through a semipermeable membrane that allows certain molecules or ions to pass through it by diffusion. This is done at high pressure, in the direction opposite to normal osmosis. This forces water molecules through the membrane, while rejecting any contaminants.

Purified Water

Once these steps have been completed, the purified water is ready to be applied to our sustainably grown 100% biodegradable bamboo fibre wipes. The result? Pure, natural and organic water wipes that are gentle, yet effective and great for sensitive skin.
